Paper

Paper 1 is now in draft.

The first paper is the spine paper: durable enough to cite, narrow enough not to absorb the full library, and grounded in the same thesis, examples, and diagrams already shaping the site.

Role

The job is durability, not sprawl.

Paper 1 should make the unit shift durable, explain the middle layer, and anchor the framework in a small number of examples. It should not try to become the whole taxonomy, library, or case-study archive.

Current state

Draft 4 now exists.

The paper now has clearer onboarding, a more publication-ready reference section, and a sharper bridge to CAPEC and other prior work. The next decision is whether to deepen the paper again or shift the center of gravity into the library.

Contents

What the first paper covers

  • why findings-first framing breaks down
  • why paths are the better unit of analysis
  • the middle layer of primitives, capabilities, constraints, and transitions
  • why validation loops matter more than benchmark mystique
  • how public anchor examples support the framework
